The 4th Rob’s Run was another memorable day out with the Widows Sons for their annual charity ride.
Along with Plymouth MCC, Moorlanders MCC assisted in marshalling the route.
It was an early start to make Plymstock for a 10.30 am departure, with the late Rob Walls’ bike being ridden in the lead. Rob is the former Vice President of Widows Sons South West Chapter, and the event runs his favourite route from Plymstock to Dartmouth in memory of Rob and to raise funds for Ambers Angels Trust – a charity providing support to victims of child abuse.
The midway stop is traditionally by the tank at Slapton Sands, skilfully included in this year’s route despite the closed road along the seafront after last year’s storms.
Finishing at Liara Railway Club in Plymouth, the day was completed with food, raffle and presentation of the monies raised to Amber.
